DAVEY EDWARDS, PHD, PLS LSLS CFEDS
TSPS Past President Davey Edwards has been selected by the international professional community to
serve as a peer reviewer for submissions to the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG). We are
happy and honored to share this achievement. He will be one of the reviewers for papers submitted to
FIG’s journals as well as its conferences, marking an important step in the next chapter of his
involvement in surveying on the international stage.
Davey continues to serve as the U.S. delegate to FIG Commission 2, which focuses on professional
education, and as a member of FIG Commission 7, which addresses cadastre and land management.
He has represented the profession at multiple FIG Working Weeks—attending in Warsaw, Poland, in
2022; attending and presenting in Orlando, Florida, in 2023; and attending and presenting in Accra,
Ghana, in 2024. In 2025, he chaired a subcommittee for Commission 2 to help organize an event for
professional education and young surveyors at the Working Week in Brisbane, Australia, although he
was unable to attend due to health issues.
TSPS is proud of Davey’s continued contributions at the international level as he expands his expertise
and advances surveying education. We congratulate him on this recognition as he transitions out of his
role as an officer of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).
