by a Snake: A Guide for
Land Surveyors Working
in the Field
Presented by ANCO Insurance
As a land surveyor, your office is often the outdoors4dense woods, rocky terrain,
brush, or overgrown lots. These environments aren’t just full of property
boundaries and elevation data4they’re also home to venomous snakes. In
Texas, we have four: rattlesnakes, water moccasins, coral snakes and
copperheads. Here in our yard, we've encountered 3 of the four this year!
Every year, around 7,00038,000 people in the U.S. are bitten by venomous
snakes, and many of them are working professionals like you who spend long
hours in the field. Knowing what to do immediately after a bite can prevent
serious injury or even save your life
